The four colour plates used in the 1924 edition of Hunting Tours by Cecil (published by Philip Allan & Co.) were created by famous 19th-century British sporting artist Henry Alken, pulled from Alken's popular master series titled "Hunting Incidents". Because the book was a historical reissue of Cornelius Tongue's 1864 text, the publisher used Alken's classic sporting aquatints to posthumously illustrate the text.
This download features 4 hi-res images in JPEG format that are all 600dpi and range in size from 2824 pixels wide to 3788 pixels tall.
