Unfortunately I have not managed to find any dates or biographical information for Margaret Clayton. She often illustrated books written by Jacqueline Clayton, possibly her sister?
This edition of Brer Rabbit's Adventures also featured 4 images by Beryl Carew Reid (1884-1970), but we can't include them in the download as works by this artist are not yet out of copyright.
