Francis Barnard Townsend

Frances Barnard Townsend (1955-1916) was born in Boston and was a pupil of the Boston Museum School, and of Dupre in Paris. She was a member of the Copley Society of Boston.

Her awards included a silver medal at the Massachusetts Charitable Mechanics’ Centennial, 1895, and a gold medal at the Atlanta exposition in 1895. She made a specialty of animals.

She died 5th December 1916.
