Angelo Fairfax Muckley (1859-1920) was born in Tettenhall, Staffordshire, in 1859, the son of William J. Muckley (b.1829), an artist and headmaster of a school of art, and Mary Muckley (b.1830).
Muckley was a captain in command of G Company (Maldon) 5th Battalion Essex Regiment. He married Blanche Beatrice Buckland (b.1878) in 1909 in Eton, Buckinghamshire. The 1911 census finds the couple living in White Notley, near Braintree in Essex, together with Muckley's widowed mother, Mary.
He died on 26th May 1920 in Benenden, Kent, from illness incurred during military service.
