Minnie Jane Hardman Biography
Minnie Jane Hardman (1862-1952) was born on 13th June 1862 in Islington, London, to Lewis Charles Shubrook (1834-1913), an assistant wood engraver, and Jane Shubrook, nee Wilson (1838-1929). Siblings included Emma Louise (b.1865), Lewis W. (b.1867), Laura Anne (b.1868) and Charles E. (b. 1872).
Her sister Emma Louise married Thomas Hardman (b.1859) in 1887, who was an artist, and they had a son, Adrian Thomas Hardman, who was born in 1891. Minnie subsequently married Thomas's brother, Henry, in Islington on 19th July 1893. A son, Wilfred Henry Hardman, was born in 1895.
By 1911, Minnie was a widow and living with her son Wilfred in Hertfordshire.
She died on 28th January 1952.
