Charles Green (1840-1898) was a British watercolourist and illustrator known for his genre and historical paintings, as well as his illustrations for authors like Charles Dickens.
He was a member of the New Society of Painters in Watercolours (now the Royal Watercolour Society) and also drew for publications like 'The Graphic' and 'Once a Week'. His notable works include The Girl I Left Behind Me, The Old Curiosity Shop (1871) and A Christmas Carol (1892), and various book illustrations.
His work is held in collections at the V&A and Leicester Museums.
