Mary Grace

Mary Grace (d.1786) was a painter of genre scenes, landscapes and occasionally portrait and history paintings. She was born Mary Hodgkins and lived in London off Throgmorton Street.

Her first documented painting was a portrait of clergyman 'Rev. Thomas Bradbury' in 1749, engraved by Faber, Jr.

She exhibited at the Society of Artists 1762-69 and retired to Homerton in 1769 where she built a gallery to show her pictures. She died in Homerton c.1786.
