Percy James Billingshurst

Percy James Billinghurst (1871-1933) was a British artist born in Sundridge, Middlesex, to John W. Billingshurst (b.1830), a solicitor, and Mary A. Billingshurst, nee Hawkins (b.1839).

After completing his art training, he married Ethel Jacobs (b.1880) in 1908. They had a daughter, Ella, born in 1912.

Billinghurst illustrated a number of books including:-

A Hundred Fables of La Fontaine, published by John Lane 1899

A Hundred Anecdotes of Animals 1901

Beasts Shown to the Children 1906 (48 colour plates)
