British Birds 1938 was written by F.B. Kirkman and F.C.R. Jourdain. It features gorgeous bird images by the following artists:-

This download features 178 hi-res images in JPEG format, scanned by us from an original edition of the book. The scans are all 600dpi and range in size from 1915 pixels wide/tall to 5698 pixels wide/tall.
The pictures are out of copyright and in the public domain, so you are free to use them in whatever way you'd like, including commercial use.
The book also includes illustrations by Winifred Austen (1876-1964) and George Collins (1880-1964) but we haven't been able to include these as they are still copyright protected.
