The pictures are all fully named with the artist name and dates, publication it’s taken from with date as well as the name of the butterfly that’s pictured, eg.
Humphreys, Henry N. (1810-1879) – Genera & Species of B. Butterflies 1860 – Small Tortoiseshell etc.
These lovely illustrations were scanned at 300 dpi and range from 1083 pixels wide/tall up to 3792px wide/tall.
